Spencer County Fair

My mother recently moved to Spencer County and we decided to check out their fair this year.  With my nieces and nephew in tow, my boyfriend, my mother, my mother's friend Kathy, my sister, and I all ventured to the Spencer County Fairgrounds.  There were mullets galore and ridiculous t-shirts that say things like "SHUT UP AND FISH".  There weren't very many rides, but the few they had were run by tattooed carnies that talked faster than the Micro Machines man.  It rained off and on throughout the evening and every now and then they would stop a ride because of the lightning, but the show went on.  I'm obsessed with fairs and carnivals. They are beautifully American and there's just something very majestic and intriguing about them....especially the small county ones.

These young men were missing parts of their clothes.

I have no words.

I bet I know which poster he wants to win.

You can win your very own rebel flag that says "Redneck" on it.

I would like to know the story about the wig in his back pocket.

Swings.

My nieces.  Leila(left) and Jenna(right).  This was Leila's very first ride ever.

Creepiest kid's ride ever.

Terrifying and awesome.
